Help me to solve this issue…
Hi Ravisankar,
I think that you are trying to install a wrong driver for your device. There are many models in Prasario v3000 model. find out your exact model and download drivers from from following link.

LikeDislikeIf it is V3000 CTO model you can see two drivers for audio. Fund the links below.
1. Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe
2. Conexant High Definition Audio Driver (for AMD)
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34386.exe
Still you are getting the same error, go for a forced driver installation.
Go to Device Manager,
Find “Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus”
Right Click and select “Update driver”
Select “no, not at this time” for connecting to Windows Update
Install from a list or specific location
Don’t search I will choose the driver to install
For the Hardware Type select ‘Show All Devices’
Remove the check from “Show Compatible Hardware” and click on “Have Disk”
Next…browse to C:\Swsetup\spXXXX (Select the exact folder of driver you used. Find file name from above link )
Choose the “inf” and Ignore XP when it complains.
