As the use of mobile phones are increasing the competition between mobile companies are also increasing.
Most people prefer the mobiles with good battery back-up than other specifications.
but a few only are getting the same. The battery back-up is low not only because of the manufacturer but of the user.
Here are some tricks and tips to increase the stand-by time of y0ur phone…

*Decrease the LCD brightness of your mobile as much as you can.
*Set your display back-light time as to 5 seconds. Most of the phones comes with 10 or 20 seconds as default back-light time.
*Use ‘vibrate’ or ‘ring tone’ as the Ring alert. Don’t use both. Ring tone will be better than the other.
*De-activate all the unwanted tones and alerts (like ‘warning tone’ ‘connection tone’ ‘error tone’ etc)
*Don’t overcharge the mobile. It will lead to the battery to expand.
*Charge your phone if necessary.(if the battery charge is below 20%)
*Charge your phone only with the charger you got from the phone provider.
*Don’t allow your battery to fully empty.
*Calling & Image capturing takes more charge than the others.
*Switch off your phone in places that having low Network range or no range.

Most of the mobile users like to chat with their friends. But chatting via SMS is little bit expensive and slow. If you have gprs in your mobile, you can chat with your friends in Gtalk with the help of the application called gotalkmobile . GoTalkMobile is GTalk instant messenger (IM) client for your J2ME-enabled cell phone. It’s used for sending and receiving Google Talk and Jabber instant messages just like SMS, via GPRS at no additional cost! It’s written in J2ME, and we have MIDP1.0 and MIDP2.0 compatible versions.
By this application you can also send files on your mobile to your friends.

You can download this application by visiting the site http://gotalkmobile.com from your mobile phone.

For this, all you want is a GPRS enabled mobile phone. As India’s biggest connection provider-Airtel & Aircel offers the cheapest intrnet plans, i like to share, how to take internet in PC with the help of a GPRS enabled mobile phone with any of these SIMs.
You can get the mobile office settings from the service provider by calling the customer care. Save the setting you get & activate that configaration in your phone. Then, you have to connect that phone to your PC via Bluetooth, infrared, or cable connection. Cable connection is better because it gives more internet speed than other ones.

Just click the network icon in the task bar and hit the connect button there. then you will get a new dialog box. Leave all the columns blank except the dial number. Type *99***1# (for idea, aircel, airtel ) as dial number.
Then just click the dial button in the bottom. Its all the things you want to do. Now you are connected to the internet.

What is rapidly changing in this world? I should say, it is the mobile phone technology. The only question remains is that how fast. It’s in the speed of light! Companies are pumping tonnes of money in this sector. Earlier the big news was Google is going to present mobile phones to the world. All the existing giants shook their shoulders. In reality Google phone didn’t come. Present news says apple has lost it’s most celebrated iphone 4G model. Lot more has happened after the outbreak of this news.
In November 2007 Google unveiled Android-an extremely versatile open-source mobile phone platform. CEO Eric Schmidt calls Android as “one of the most liberal licenses in the world.” In common sense one can imagine that the “stolen” 4G will have elaborated features than 3G iphones. Which one is more powerful apple iphone or google android enabled phones. Android is just an operating system whereas apple iphone is a complete package, this is the main difference among them. Regarding usability iphone is excellent. But Google offers numerous services to the clients (to the world!). All these services will be available in Android enabled mobile phones. In the business sense which gives an advantage for Android.
Apple calls 3G iphone as “the fastest, most powerful iphone yet”. The listed features of apple iphone include video recording, voice control, digital compass, MMS, spotlight search, landscape keyboard, updated 3D graphics delivery and upto 32 GB storage. The going to launch 4G iphone will be having fascinating features!!. Regarding Android the fight between Google and Microsoft is well on. Microsoft now says Android is against patent. In the beginning Google has tie-ups with almost all the major handset makers to promote Android. Comparing to apple iphones, Android enabled phones are cheaper. 3G data speeds, accelerated 3D graphics and a touchscreen are the major advantages of Android phones as stated by the developers themselves. Since it is open source Android has got more acceptance among users. (it is freedom and democracy after all!!).
If we step into the shoes of a customer and think we will understand certain differences between iphone and Android phones. iphone needs many applications running to use it as a phone. But in Android it is simple. There are more inbuilt features in the iphone than Android phones which reduces customer’s freedom. Now apple has studied almost all the features of Android phones. Hope are on that it will come up with more advanced features in 4G iphones. For sure the war now is shifted to mobile phone technology. We are going to witness more in the recent future.

I was trying to run a divx video on my Nokia 5800. But default real player doesn’t play that video. So I downloaded Divx player from some downloading sites. Buts it wont work and giving error message “Player Expired” “A new version of this player available. Press ok or go to http://mobile.divx.com to get the latest version”. So I downloaded the latest divx player “DivXPlayer_S60_3rd.sisx” from http://mobile.divx.com .

I opened the application and its showing some demos list also. But it is not compactable with touch screen, So I cant click on the menu. I searched a lot to get a solution. Finally I got it, but it is not so simple

You can map your Menu key and the Camera key for that application with a software called Garmin Virtual key.

You can download the key map from following link

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J5R51LJZ

It cam be used in Nokia’s Other versions like Nokia 5230, 5233

Download Divx Player : http://labs.divx.com/system/files/private/DivXPlayer_S60_3rd.sisx
